Fortuna Law
Your Partner on the Journey to a Top Law School
The most memorable portion of the law school application process, clients often tell us, is opening the letter of acceptance from their dream T14 law school. School letterhead with an enthusiastic “Welcome!” and the Dean’s inked signature confirms the start of a journey at Yale, Stanford, UChicago, UPenn, Harvard, or another T14 that signifies a major life milestone and first step in a successful legal career.
Securing your seat at any T14 law school, however, is no easy task. With thousands of highly talented applicants vying for acceptance, standing out can prove difficult. Stanford Law School, for example, received 5,000+ applications and admitted only 357 students in 2023, noting a 6.28% acceptance rate that was even lower than the 6.89% acceptance rate of its equally prestigious MBA Program. We see similarly selective odds at other elite law schools like Yale (4.12%), UPenn (9.39%), and Harvard (6.9%). It is no surprise that many applicants use law school admissions consulting to secure their seats at top law schools.
While a stellar LSAT score and strong undergraduate grades were typically enough to gain entry to the most selective top law schools in decades past, each element of the contemporary law school application is scrutinized by admissions committees. The core of the written portion, the Law School Personal Statement, is a requirement of nearly every highly selective school, and often the most difficult aspect for applicants to tackle. Given only 1-2 pages of space to tell your story and convince an admissions committee to say yes, where should you begin?
The 1 on 1 personal coaching we do provides a roadmap for clients’ intellectual and professional journeys during law school and beyond that makes tackling the Personal Statement and other key application elements a far less stressful process. Our Expert Law Coaches bring hands-on admissions experience as Admissions Readers, AdCom Members, and alumni of T14 law schools. We believe in matching clients with the strongest coaches in the entire law school admissions consulting market, which is why 60% of our coaches have past or current affiliations with Harvard Law School, the top dream school for most JD applicants. In combination, our coaches have read thousands of actual law school applications to HLS and other T14s and guided countless clients to application success.
We look forward to helping you more clearly articulate your “Why?” for law school, as well as guiding your through the law school application process so that you can share the most compelling version of yourself possible with AdComs and secure a seat at your dream school.
The Fortuna team was extremely helpful throughout my law school application process. They were especially useful when it came to navigating being waitlisted at several schools. They helped me draft a concrete plan-of-action that helped me put my best foot forward with schools and advocate for myself with confidence.
